Mr. Ismael Rosado, 60, of Utica, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica. Ismael was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on January 20, 1961, the son of Ismael and Juanita Rosado and received his education there. Ismael and his family came to the continental US in 1999 and made their home in Utica. Ismael enjoyed fishing, painting, especially nature scenes and was a gifted carpenter and mechanic. Working on cars, was a favorite pastime, but his greatest joy, was spending time with his precious family, who were the light of his life. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Rosado is survived by his loving children, Jannette Rosado and her husband, Damian Santiago of Utica, Jesenia Rosado and her husband, Jesus Alicea of Dayton Beach, FL, Yazmin Rosado and her husband, Nicholas Duran of Lancaster, PA and Luis Rosado of Utica. Four cherished grandchildren, Janelis, Omar, Noah, Melody and was anxiously awaiting the birth of his granddaughter. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Carmen, Sonia, Milly, Gelan, Israel, Luis, and Elizabeth, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Though separated from his wife, Migdalia Nieves, Ismael maintained a long and great relationship with her and her partner, Wilfredo Gonzales. His parents Ismael and Juanita, predeceased him. Visitation for family and friends is Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the conclusion of visitation. His burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Utica.
