Gloria Anne Avery, passed away on August 26, 2021 at her home with her loving family members by her side.
Gloria was born in West Fairlee, VT, on March 11, 1950, the daughter of William H. and Myrtle (Pero) Severance, and was a 1968 graduate of Thetford Academy.
Gloria is survived by her son, Peter Avery of N. Utica; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Paul Taylor of Verona, NY as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Myrtle; daughter, Betsy Linen; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Tom Ellis; a very dear friend, George Williams and her ex-husband, Basil Avery.
Mrs. Avery’s funeral will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Visitation for family and friends is Sunday, from 5:00-7:00 prior to the funeral service.
