Mr. James H. Berne Sr., 75, of Deerfield passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 10, 2021 at his residence. He was born on September 11, 1945 in Pittsfield MA., the son of the late George and Evelyn (Sykes) Berne. He was educated and graduated from Pittsfield High School Class of 1963. After graduation he enlisted with the US Navy Serving from 1964 and honorably being discharged in 1968. After serving his country he united in marriage to his wife of 53 years Patricia Hebert. James was employed by Pepsi in Utica and Syracuse as Vice President until his retirement a few years ago. James in his spare time enjoyed Hunting, Fishing and Golf. He is survived by is wife Patricia, two children his son James H. Berne Jr. and his fiancé Tiffany of Myrtle Beach, SC, a daughter Renee Berne, Marcy, NY, a brother George Berne, Pittsfield, MA., three grand children Kassandra Sweet, Whitesboro, Brandon Berne, Rochester, and Brooklyn Berne, New Hartford. In keeping with Mr. Berne’s wishes there will be no formal services or calling hours at this time. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
