Obituary of Raymond Lewis Hart

Mr. Raymond Lewis Hart, 65, of Utica, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Oneida Healthcare Center. Raymond was born in Utica, on June 22, 1956, the son of Lewis and Leona (Miller) Hart and received his education in Utica Schools. Ray honorably served in the US Army, from 1974 until his honorable discharge in 1979. On August 23, 2002, Ray was united in marriage with Margaret M. Richlin, a loving union of 19 years. Ray enjoyed bowling, was a professional billiards player, loved bird watching, especially eagles and hawks, had a real passion for cleaning and refinishing floors and was the first to help those in need. He was also a devoted attendee at Redeemer Church in N. Utica and he was most proud of being a foster parent, lovingly caring for many children over the years. Mr. Hart is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret; one daughter, Tanya Lynn (Frank) Ostrosky of Frankfort; one son, Raymond Lewis (Lisa) Hart, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; three cherished grandchildren, Ryleigh, Natalie and Ryan; one sister, Rose-Marie (George) Appel of N. Utica and three brothers, Eric (Lou Jean) Hart of Arkansas, John Hart of Utica and Keith Hart of Pulaski, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Lewis and Leona and an infant sister, Donna Hart. Visitation for family and friends is Wednesday, September 6, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation.
