Mrs. Carol M. Abrial, 81, of Utica, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical center in Utica. Carol was born in Rome, NY, on January 9, 1940, the daughter of Norman and Grace (Luck) Cushman. She was a graduate of Clinton High School and proudly received her certificate in hairdressing. In 1956, Carol was united in marriage with William H. Abrial II. William passed away in 2015. Carol enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts and loved birds. Mrs. Abrial is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Pearl Savicki of Clinton; life partner, Raymond Savicki of Paris, NY and Utica; two brothers and one sister, Norn Cushman of Waterville, Ardeen Cushman of Florida and Alan Cushman of Georgia, as well as several cherished grandchildren; She was predeceased by two sons, Robin W. Abrial and William H. Abrial, III and six siblings, Audrey (John) Martin, Lilly (Walt) LaValley, George (Alice) Cushman, Elaine Cushman Bellinger, Pat Savicki Cushman, and Libby Cushman. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Crown Hill Memorial Park, State Route 12 South, in Kirkland.
