Mrs. Margaret “Mugsy” Alesandro Linder, 73, of Utica was reunited with her beloved husband in heaven on December 7, 2021. Margaret was born in Utica, on September 18, 1948, the daughter of Rocco “Chico” and Jessie (Paolozzi) Alesandro. She was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Proctor High School. On October 12, 1968, Margaret was united in marriage with Richard W. Linder Sr, their marriage was a loving and devoted union of 29 years until Richard’s death in 1997. At one time Margaret was employed through General Electric Company from which she retired. At one time she was also a licensed beautician and enjoyed doing her family and friends hair. Mugsy had a deep passion for cooking and also enjoyed knitting and baking, especially her famous Christmas cookies. One of her favorite pass times was going on long car rides with her granddaughter Alexis while listening to music and drinking her favorite ice coffee, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren who were truly the light of her life. Mugsy loved music and you could often find her singing all of her favorites especially the Supremes. Margaret was the rock or her family and could always be counted on. Even through her illness she never lost her personality and kept her spunk and sassiness on full display. Mugsy was of Catholic faith. Mrs. Linder is survived by one son, Richard Linder Jr of Utica, two daughters Deanne Linder and her companion Daniel Gomolka of Utica and Candace Linder of Utica. Seven beloved grandchildren Justin Linder, Regina Linder, Billy Hubbard and his companion Amanda Scheller, Jamie Hubbard and his companion Zara Zanichelli, Alexis Hubbard and her companion Daeon Blackshear. Zachary Gomolka and Ryan Linder, four adored great grandchildren, Miya and Kai Hubbard, Gianna and Daeon Blackshear and was anxiously awaiting the birth of her newest great grandson; one brother-in-law William Robinson of PA and a dear cousin Barbara Alesandro of Utica as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Robinson. All though this is of great sadness for the family they find comfort in knowing Mugsy is no longer suffering and will be reunited with the love of her life her husband Richard. The family will hold a private funeral and burial, entrusted to Heintz Funeral Service inc. Mrs. Linder’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr Kachare for all the compassion and care that he showed to our mother.
