Our deepest sympathy to Cha Cha family! It has been the best part of our lives to be able to have Cha Cha as our cousin. The man we know and love is absolutely remarkable ,always looking up and building each one of us up. He has always been there for the celebrations and for the difficult time of saying goodbye to loved ones. Cha Cha there was not one time that your illness controlled you but you surely controlled it. Always positive and looking forward to the next step. I remember your trip to North Carolina with Lou and that truly had to be a remarkable trip. You always sported a smile and your faith and love of family has always shown through your life. Cha Cha you will be surely missed and I pray for you every daily! Now you join all our loved ones up above and I somehow bet that the reunion is amazingly beautiful. Our deepest sympathy to his children and family. Cousin Sue and Ray Hamo

My heartfelt sympathy to all of Chuckie’s sons, his brothers and entire family and friends. Cha Cha was his family nickname as a child and as his cousin he remained Cha Cha to me forever. He was truly one of a kind. He loved his family and was at everyone’s side in times of sorrow. Always doing the right thing. He truly was one in a million and I was proud to be related to him. His kindness and caring were genuine and sincere. God Bless you Cha Cha and may you be surrounded by angels forevermore. Rest In Peace.

My deepest sympathies to all of the Piccione family and friends. To say that Chuckie lit up a room with his infectious smile & “can do” attitude, pales in comparison to how he befriended you.
I met Chuck when I returned home from military service overseas (coming back to a less than happy environment in those days) & decided to follow my dad into the trucking industry. Having driven 60 ton tanks, driving a tractor trailer should be a breeze. In 1977 I signed up for tractor trailer driving school at MVCC & the only other student in that class that summer, was none other that “Chuckie Piccione”. We had a great summer together, joking & laughing about everything. Chuck was a breath of fresh air for me & helped me tell my stories from my days in the military.
There was a “moment” that summer as we were learning the civilian method of truck driving, & it came at the former UFA high school. I had a younger brother (Donald G.Cuda II) attending summer school at UFA and he was being harassed by a group of other summer school students. When I told Chuck & our instructor about this problem, both fella’s said “let’s go and make things right”. At the time, Chuckie was into body building and as much as he was a short stack in height, he was built like a pit bull & those who knew him, respected him. Needless to say, with Chuckie & our instructor as “wingmen”, I spoke softly to the bullies while my 2 angels watched intently to make sure nothing happened around me & my brother as we refocused the bullies to becoming guardians for my brother (or else).
Chuckie & I ran together for a few years and then lost touch until we ran into each other again some years ago. We reconnected and laughed about the UFA incident and tried to stay in contact. Then next time we crossed paths, a smiling (he was always smiling) Chuckie embraced and caught up with our adventures in life. He had been still working with Utica National & now fighting cancer. Little did I know it would be one of the last times I would see him.
If ever I had a Guardian Angel on earth, Chuckie would have fit that description……
Chuckie, keep smiling down on your family and friends, your heart was always bigger in life, as was your smile….. God Bless you and one of these days we’ll see each other again and once again laugh about those escapades back in the ‘70’s….!!!

Our prayers go out to all of Chuck's family and friends who will all miss him greatly. We knew Chuck through motorcycling and from his membership in the Christian Motorcyclists Association. He was a loyal member of the Utica/Rome Chapter, The Revelation Riders. We will remember him for his commitment to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his joyful spirit. He always had an encouraging and positive word to share with those he spoke to. There were many times when he would encourage me and ask me how I was doing even though he himself was going through a very rough time. He truly had the gift of encouragement of which I will greatly miss. Chuck, your suffering is now over and I'm sure you are rejoicing in your eternal time with Jesus. Godspeed Chuck.
