Mrs. Linda Ann LeGault, 74, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at her home. Linda was born in Utica, on June 3, 1947, the daughter of Bernard and Agnes (Piotroski) Kowalczyk and received her education in Utica schools. On June 29, 1972, Linda was united in marriage with Wayne R. LeGault at Sacred Heart Church in Utica. At one time, Linda was employed with Mele Manufacturing, Dunlop Tire Company, Bakers Green House and the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department. Linda enjoyed crafts, photography and was proud to be a foster mother. She was also a member of The Church of The Sacred Heart and St. Mary, Our Lady of Czestochowa in NY Mills and the Adoration Society. Mrs. LeGault is survived by her loving Husband, Wayne; two sons and one daughter-in-law, John C. and Laurie Abounader of NC and Edward C. Abounader of Utica; seven cherished grandchildren, Kristyn, Alison, Grace, Maryssa, Elijah, Olivia and Jonathan; one adored great grandchild, Skhuylar; five sisters Theresa Metzgier of Deerfield, Diane Gubbins of NC, Cindy David of NC, Judy Gerlach of Utica and Bernice Gubbins of New Hartford; one brother, Eugene Saraka of North Utica, as well as several niece and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters Helen Synakowski and Dolores Nowak. Mrs. LeGault’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of The Sacred Heart and St. Mary, Our Lady of Czestochowa in NY Mills, where her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Visitation for family and friends is Tuesday January 4, 2022 from 9:00 am-11:00 am at Church, prior to the funeral Mass.
