Obituary of Mary M. Stuttard

Mary M. (Kloster) Stuttard, 69, of Clinton, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center, New Hartford after a brief illness.
Mary was born January 12, 1947 in Utica, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Clossen) Kloster. She was raised and educated in Clinton, graduating from Clinton High School. She later received her degree in nursing from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. On August 31, 1968, Mary married Michael Stuttard, sharing a union of over 47 years. She had been employed several years with the Presbyterian Home and Lutheran Homes. Mary then spent twenty five years as the Assistant Librarian with Clinton Central School. She was a lifetime member and past president of the Schilling-Burns-Young VFW Post #9591 Ladies Auxiliary. Mary was a member and Eucharistic Minister with St. Mary's Church, Clinton. She had been an avid hockey mom with her sons. Mary will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Michael, Clinton; a son and two daughters-in-law, Benjamin and Karen Stuttard, Oriskany Falls; Lizi Bull, Fayetteville; five cherished grandchildren, Samuel, Eben, and Ella Stuttard, Oriskany Falls, Alexander and Aiden Stuttard, Fayetteville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Linda Kloster, John and Stephanie Kloster; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Jack Fox, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary is predeceased by her son, Christopher, in 2014, as well as three sisters, Jean Kloster, Carol Auman, and Annita Brown.
Mrs. Stuttard's funeral will be held on Friday, May 20 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, Clinton where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton, Thursday evening, from 4 - 7 pm.
Those wishing may donate to the American Diabetes Association, National Kidney Foundation of CNY, or your local Veterans Organization.
