Obituary of Renate Maria Anna Jubis

Mrs. Renate Maria Anna Jubis, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Masonic Care Community, Utica with her loving family in her heart. Renate was born in Heidelberg, Germany on October 4, 1934, the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Irma (Fein) Brunn. She attended schools in Germany and graduated high school in 1952. One year after graduating high school she was united in marriage with Joseph R. Jubis on March 7, 1953 in Heidelberg. Mr. Jubis predeceased her on March 1, 2001 after 48 years of marriage. After immigrating to the United States, she was employed by General Electric, Utica for most of her working career. Renate enjoyed being a wife mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She also loved Antiquing and going to auctions, especially things for her home which was her castle. She would also be seen around her home gardening, cooking and being a seamstress. Renate is survived by her daughter Renee Bentley, New York Mills, NY., a brother Willie Brunn and his wife Elka, Louisiana, a granddaughter Erika Eastman, Verona, and her children Makayla DelMoral and Braiden Eastman and a niece Connie Draughn and her children Gage and Garret. Funeral services and calling hours will be held privately and at convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest in St. Peter’s Cemetery, North Utica in the spring. Renate’s family extends their heart felt gratitude to the staff of the Saranac Unit of Masonic Care Community for all the care and compassion shown to her and her family.
