Angela M. Gilbert, 67, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly at her home, on Monday, May 9, 2016. Angela was born February 11, 1949 in Utica, the daughter of Lawrence and Catherine (Panaro) Percacciante. She was raised and educated in Whitesboro. She had been employed as a Mental Health Therapy Aid with Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center in Utica. On July 11, 1980, Angela married Earl Gilbert in Whitestown. Mr. Gilbert passed away in 2008. Angela was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed her time greatly with her co workers, missing them dearly after retiring. She enjoyed playing computer and card games, and trips to the casino. Angela loved spending her time with her grandchildren most of all. Angela is survived by three daughters, Sheri (& Charles) Irla, Newport, Bonnie Stevens-Ellsworth, New York Mills. Marie (Stevens) Kuhn, Whitesboro; several grandchildren, including Justin Lyman, Michael Lyman, and Kaitlin Giehl with whom she was especially close; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry II and Debbie Percacciante, New Hartford; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Cathy (& Pat) Tarkowski, Yorkville, Janet Litz, Florida, Sandi (& Mike) Schachtler, Whitesboro. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and friends.
