Dennis L. Thomas, Jr., 43, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at his residence. Dennis was born in Utica, on August 15, 1977, the son of Dennis L. Thomas, Sr., and Sandra Midget. Dennis was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Thomas R. Proctor High School. Dennis was a hard worker who strived for greatness in all that he did., his last employment was for Center One LLC., in Buffalo NY as a Digital Service Agent. Dennis had such a passion for creating music and being the “Master Chef”. Often times you could hear him giving his stamp of approval or “advice” on what would taste the best. His ability to control the room with just his presence alone will be missed by so many. Those who truly knew him well will be lost without his jokes and his soft but powerful presence. In his untimely passing the lesson to be learned is to be still and show love. He is survived by his mother Sandra Midget, Utica, his four children, Naysia Thomas, Qudiar Thomas and Denair Thomas, Utica, Kameron Clemons ,MI. His two brothers Richard J. Blackshear and Paul Gaters, both of Utica. His Grandparents John & Louise Thomas. His Aunts and Uncles ( Diane McDowell, Shelia Midget, Brenda & Larry Dillard, Harold & Juanita Watson, Marie Fields and Alvin Midget. His MANY cousins and special friends. He is predeceased by his father Dennis L. Thomas, Sr. and his Grandparents James & Evater Midget and his Uncle James Midget Jr “Sonny”. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 11:00am-12:00noon at the Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY., 13502 with a funeral service to follow at 12:00noon. Burial take place in Forest Hill Cemetery, Oneida Street, Utica.
