Obituary of Brian Edwin Beckingham

Mr. Brian Edwin Beckingham, 70, of Forestport, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 11, 2022 at his home. Brian was born in Utica, on June 10, 1951, the son of Edwin and Ethel (Rasbach) Beckingham. He was raised and educated locally, was a graduate of Whitesboro High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Morrisville State College. Brian was employed in property management with the Buck Apartments in Whitesboro as well as with other various properties in Syracuse and Herkimer. He also tended bar for many years, with the Buffalo Head Restaurant and the Alder Creek Inn, a job he truly enjoyed doing. He was also a huge collector of Utica Club Brewery beer steins. Mr. Beckingham is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Wayne Brosemer of Deerfield; three cherished nieces, Rebecca Brosemer, Stephanie Brosemer and Nicole Arcuri and her husband, Sam, III, all of Deerfield and two adored great nephews, Lucas and Nathan. He was predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Ethel and his brother, Bradley Beckingham. Visitation for family and friends is Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 at the conclusion of visitation. Those wishing to make a donation in Brian’s memory, please consider the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
