Mrs. Nora Jeanne Rizzo, 65, of Utica, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford. Nora was born in Utica, on February 27, 1956, the daughter of Albert and Jeanne (Henry) Williams. She was raised locally, was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and Mohawk Valley Community College. For 27 years, Nora was employed with St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica, a job she truly loved. Her work ethic and dedication to the hospital were evident to everyone she worked with. Nora enjoyed baking, was a big garage sale enthusiast and loved her Sunday mornings at Denny’s. Nora especially loved holidays and spending them with her beloved family. She will be remembered for her big heart and ability to make friends with anyone she ever met. She was of the Catholic faith. Nora is survived by three daughters, Honor Rizzo and her fiancée, John Bembry of Utica, Amanda Rivera of Utica and Kelly Vasquez and her husband Juan, of Cicero, NY; one son, Andrew Rizzo of Utica; one sister, MaryAnne Melisa of Utica; three brothers, Fred Williams of Pulaski, NY, Albert Williams, Jr. of Utica and Robert Williams of CA, as well as 8 cherished grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her longtime loving companion, Raymond Rivera and two brothers, Tommy and Michael Williams. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to join the family to celebrate Nora’s life, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge on Champlin Ave. in Yorkville. She will be laid to rest with her beloved Raymond in St. Joseph Cemetery in Yorkville.
