Mrs. Barbara Ann Lee, 78, of Floyd, NY, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at her home, with her loving family by her side. Barbara was born in Brooklyn, NY, on October 11, 1943, the daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Wengert) Monaski, and received her education in Utica schools. On January 21, 1961, Barbara was united in marriage with Wayne Henry Lee at Blessed Sacrament Church in Utica. At one time, Barbara was employed on the maternity ward/nursery at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital in New Hartford, later in the phlebotomy department at Marcy Psychiatric Center and most recently, in the speech pathology department at Utica Psychiatric Center. Barbara enjoyed tending to her flower garden, paint by numbers, stain glass projects, and especially going to HCCC Basketball games and proudly cheering on the team and her son, Coach Matt Lee. She was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Lee is survived by her loving husband, Wayne “Chicky”; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Phil Aiello of Holland Patent and Barbara and Gary Cingranelli of Stittville; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Scott Lee of West Virginia, Christopher Lee and his fiancée, Katie Della Bella of Las Vegas, NV and Matt and Kim Lee of Deerfield; A special family member, Joe “Joe Joe” Aiello of Holland Patent; ten cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Racquet and her husband, Lenny, Jr. and Philly Aiello; Jason Cingranelli, Jeremy Cingranelli and his wife Tabatha, and Elizabeth Cingranelli; Spencer Lee and Olivia Lee; Jordan Lee, Matthew Lee, and Jaydan Lee; eight adored great grandchildren, Lenny, III, Austin, and Cole; Emma and Oliviana; Rylee, Natalie, and Connor, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles Monaski and Richard Monaski. Mrs. Lee’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Historic Old St. John’s Church, 240 Bleecker St., Utica, where her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. She will be laid to rest in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Yorkville. Visitation for family and friends is Monday, March 14th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Mrs. Lee’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. for the wonderful care and compassion you provided to her. A very special thank you to Scott and Jen for the amazing care you provided to mom/meme in her last two months. We couldn’t have done it without you. Finally, thank you Lord, for being so gentle with us and helping us through this very difficult last couple of months.
