Obituary of Rose M. Nassif

Rose M. Nassif, 96, a lifelong resident of Henderson St., NY Mills and currently residing at the Brookdale Clinton Independent Living, in Clinton, NY, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022. Rose was born in NY Mills, on July 30, 1925, the daughter of Shibil and Sadie (Ghouryafi) Nassif and received her education in local schools. For many years, Rose was employed with Bendix Corporation in Utica. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Women’s Bowling Association 600 Club as well as a NY Mets fan and Syracuse Basketball fan. Rose was a devout member of St. Louis Gonzaga Church in Utica. Miss Nassif is survived by two sisters-in-law, Patricia Nassif Hahn and Patricia Nassif, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary Ganim, Ozzie Nassif, Gladys Olick and Joseph Nassif along with brothers-in-law and two beloved nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Rose’s funeral, on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 12:00 noon at St. Louis Gonzaga Church, where her Mass of The Divine Liturgy of The Faithful Departed will be celebrated by Fr. Boutros El Hachem. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery in Yorkville. In keeping with Rose’s wishes, there are no calling hours. Rose’s family extends many thanks, to the staff at Utica Rehab and Nursing Center in Utica, for the wonderful care you provided to her. A very special thank you to Kimberly Martin and the staff at Brookdale Clinton Independent Living and Sharon Meyer of Choice One Healthcare, as well as the many dear friend Rose made at Brookdale, for the loving care, compassion and friendship you provided.
