Obituary of Smith Skellham

    Patricia A. Skellham, 63, of Utica, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford, with her loving daughter by her side.

     Patricia was born in Oneida, NY, on September 24, 1958, the daughter of William and Betty Hilts Smith and step-daughter of Josephine Smith.  She was raised and educated in Oneida and was a graduate of Oneida High School.  At one time, Patricia was married to Robert Skellham.  For many years, Patricia was employed as a home health care aide with US Care in Utica.  She enjoyed puzzle books, playing Yahtzee and the card game, skip bo. 

     Ms. Skellham is survived by her loving daughter, Donna Hillage of Rome; step-daughter, Danielle Pizzo; two cherished grandchildren, Kimm Robson and Robert Skellham, III; six brothers and sisters, William (Pam Adsit) Smith of Rome, Elaine (John) Bauer of Canastota, Ronald Smith of Utica, Donald Smith of Rome, Debra (Todd VanRiper) Smith of Kentucky and William Smith, Jr., of Morrisville; step-brothers and step-sisters, Eddie (Barb) Chamberlain, Leslie (Ronda) Chamberlain, Audrey Fowlston,  and  Dickie Chamberlain and sister-in-law, Kim (Tim Potter) Smith, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents, William and Betty; step-mother, Josephine; two brothers, Terry Smith and Michael Smith and step-sister, Peggy Marsh and brother-in-law, Francis Fowlston.

     Visitation for family and friends is Monday, April 4, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation.
