Obituary of Patricia A. Berg

     Mrs. Patricia A. Berg, 84, of Clinton and formerly of New Hartford, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica.

     Patricia was born in Utica, on June 30, 1937, the daughter of Raymond and Lois (Schaub) Boehlert and received her education in Whitesboro High School.  On June 1, 1957, Patricia was united in marriage with Edward A. Berg, Sr., at Sacred Heart Church in Utica, a loving and devoted union of 39 years, until Edward’s death in 1996.  For many years until her retirement, Patricia was employed as a welfare fraud investigator with Oneida County.  She enjoyed crocheting, boating, long talks with all her neighbors and she loved her dog, Livvie. Patricia was a longtime parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church in Utica and a current parishioner of St. John The Evangelist Church in New Hartford. 

     Mrs. Berg is survived by her four loving children, Edward A., Jr. and Kimberley Berg of Sauquoit, Denise and David Elsenbeck of Clinton, James R. Berg of AZ and Michele and William Anderson of AZ; 11 cherished grandchildren, Derrick, Nicole, Kelsey, Krystal, Tiffany, Jennifer, Faolan, Clayton, Evan, Troy and Sam; three adored great grandchildren, Liam, Mia and Brice and two sisters-in-law, Sherrie Boehlert of Whitesboro and Elaine Boehlert of Utica, as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two brothers, John “Jack” Boehlert and Robert Boehlert.

     In keeping with Patricia’s wishes, there are no calling hours and a private family funeral will be held.  She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Edward, in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro.  Those wishing to make a donation in Patricia’s memory, please consider the Dementia Society of America, 188 N.
