Obituary of Ismael Heredia

        Mr. Ismael Heredia, 52, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

     Ismael was born in Utica, on June 1, 1970, the son of Ismael Heredia and Sandra Colon and received his education in Utica schools.  In Ismael younger years, he enjoyed entertaining his friends with his break-dancing skills.  He also loved music and was an outdoor enthusiast.

     Ismael is survived by three sons, Ismael Heredia, Joshua Heredia and Justin Heredia and Jayda Polise; a step-daughter, Shayla Perez; one grandson, Gianni Heredia; 13 siblings, Kathy Rios, Donald Lotoski, Dennis Lotoski, Carmen Quiros, Manuel Heredia, Emilia Rawlins, Kermis DeJesus and Santina, Jennifer Stefka, Manuel Heredia, Junita Heredia, Jose Heredia, Miguel Heredia and Carmen Heredia; his Goddaughter, Julissa DeJesus, as well as many nieces and nephews, especially his nephew Edwin Heredia and niece, Alexia Carter. He was predeceased by his parents, Ismael and Sandra.

     Visitation for family and friends is Friday, August 12, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, followed by a funeral Mass of Christian burial at 1:00 p.m. at Historic Old St. John’s Church in Utica.  He will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery in Yorkville.
