Michele Whitman, 65, of New York Mills passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Michele was born in Utica on May 18, 1950, a daughter of Michael and Mary (Yaghy) Izzo. She was raised and educated in New York Mills. On July 11, 1976 Michele married Bruce C. Whitman. For several years she was employed at Rich Plan. Michele is survived by her husband Bruce, a daughter, Jessica M. Whitman, New York Mills, a sister, Sandra Hinckley, Yorkville and a brother, Michael L. Izzo, Utica. Michele was predeceased by 2 sisters, Christine Ernye and Judy Ann Ferreira and a brother-in-law, Roy Hinckley. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
