Obituary of Lois R. DeVito

Lois R. DeVito, 90, of Utica went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Charles T. Sitrin Health Care Center, New Hartford.

     Lois was born in Grafton, West Virginia, on May 12, 1932, the daughter of the late Dale Rogers and Ethelyn Ruth (Fretwell) Harrison.  Mrs. DeVito graduated from Grafton High School and then furthered her schooling at Business University, Tampa Florida.  She worked for Laidlaw and Company, Washington D.C. for five years till her marriage to Gregory J. DeVito.  Lois and Gregory were united in marriage on April 18, 1959 at St. Mary of Mount Carmel, Utica, a blessed union of nearly 55 years.  Mr. DeVito predeceased her on August 28, 2014.

     Mrs. DeVito is survived by her beloved son Dean M. DeVito, Utica, brother John D. Harrison (Carolyn), Grafton, WV., nephews and nieces Mark H. Ball (Cindy), Dane H. Ball (Lisa), both of Greensburg, PA., Drs. Elizabeth Hess (Mike), Bridgeport, WV., Ben Harrison (Heather), Grafton, WV. and J. Brian Harrison, Carlisle, PA.  She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Doris A. and C. Herbert Ball.

     Mrs. DeVito’s wishes were to have no public visitation. A private Graveside Service will take place at the convenience of the family at Crown Hill Memorial Gardens, Clinton, NY.  Those wishing to make a donation in Mrs. Lois DeVito’s memory, please consider Samaritan’s Purse, P.O.
