Obituary of Audrey Ruth Rizzo

Audrey Ruth Rizzo, 89, of Utica passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at her residence. 

     Audrey was born February 2, 1933 in Utica, NY to parents Evelyn Pinkham and Laurence Jennings Sr... She had one brother Laurence Jennings Jr, who passed early on. She was the mother of two children, David Scott Rizzo and Joseph Laurence Rizzo. Grandmother to five, David, Christopher, Gwynne, Donald, and Jeremy. Audrey’s legacy is one that touched many. Her compassion and attention to her family and peers is an imprint on the community. Her humor and zest for life is something that will leave the effervescent mark of simple joy filled memories to all who knew her. In her life she survived many obstacles, some from sheer tolls of living and some from painful strains of destiny. Through it all she prevailed with a smile and a laugh that was infectious and long lingering. She survived stage four cancer in her 80’s and made it into full remission before passing on the cusp of her 90^th birthday. She is a paramount to all who knew and loved her and will be missed dearly by family and peers alike.

     It is the wishes of Mrs. Audrey Rizzo there be no public calling hours or funeral services.  She will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
