Obituary of Theresa M. (Rubino) Dubyna
Theresa M. (Rubino) Dubyna, 88, of Yorkville, passed away September 4, 2022 at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare, New Hartford.
She was born in Utica, on April 19, 1934, the daughter of Livio and Ruth (Garofalo) Rubino. She graduated from Proctor High School class of 1952. She enjoyed gathering with classmates for monthly luncheons. Theresa was employed for many years at the Utica Psychiatric Center, and later, as a resident manager with the ARC-Oneida Lewis. On April 7, 1956 she was united in marriage to Peter Dubyna Sr. at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, Utica.
Mrs. Dubyna is survived by her daughter, Patricia D. Ferrone of Utica and her two sons, Peter D. Dubyna Jr. of Clinton and Paul D. Dubyna of Yorkville. She received much joy when she was in the presence of her 6 grandchildren, Matthew Dubyna Sr., Amanda (Sean) McVicar, Richard Ferrone Jr., (twins) Nicholas and Stephanie Ferrone and Julianna Dubyna who adored her and will miss her dearly. She also leaves seven cherished great grandchildren Matthew Dubyna Jr., Natalia, Jake, Victoria, CArina McVicar, Stassi and Bruno Ferrone. A sister, Jeanette Creo of Utica, son-in-law Richard Ferrone Sr., and daughter-in-law, Maria Dubyna, as well as many cousins, nephews, nieces and dear friends. She is predeceased by her sister Angela Tofani and her granddaughter Melissa Dubyna whose memory was always alive in heart.
In keeping with Theresa’s wishes there is no visitation and a private family funeral will be held. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum in Yorkville.
