Obituary of Loren Sue Fuhrken

Loren Sue Fuhrken, 65, of Evans Mills, NY., passed away September 12, 2022 at Albany Medical Center after fighting until her last moments.

     She was born in Utica, on January 23, 1957, the daughter of the late John Robert and Annabel (Mason) Crossley. She was educated in Utica. She enjoyed working at Longways Diner and had many faithful customers. For the past 15 plus years she was a dedicated employee of the Indian River School District as a Custodian, where she encompassed a Warrior spirit until she retired and beyond. She was loved by many teachers, staff and students.

     Mrs. Fuhrken is survived by her children Shannon Madore (Scott), Utica, Daniel Gifford (Amanda), Jacksonville, FL., Tonya Gifford, Watertown, NY., Katelyn Gray (John), LaPort, TX., Daniel Fuhrken (EmmaLeigh), Churchill, TN., a brother George Crossley (Linda), Whitesboro, a sister Dominica Amrhein (Kurt), Utica, ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also had many loving, life long friends. 

      In keeping with Loren’s wishes there is no visitation and a private graveside will be held at the convenience of the family at Forest Hill Cemetery.

     Arrangements for Mrs. Loren Sue Fuhrken have been entrusted to Heintz Funeral Services, Inc., 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY., 13502.
