Obituary of Frances E. Zyla

Frances E. Zyla, age 93, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022.

Frances was the daughter of the late Floyd and Dorothy (Roberts) Thrasher.  She was raised and educated in Utica.  On October 12, 1946, Frances was united in marriage to Theodore S. Zyla at St. Patrick’s Church, Utica.  Mr. Zyla predeceased her on March 27, 1997.  Frances was employed by St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital in the Dietary Department.  She retired after 25 years of faithful service.

     She is survived by her beloved daughter Sue Bulinski, Whitesboro, three brothers Richard Thrasher (Maryln) and Lon Thrasher (Mary Anne), both of Utica, William Thrasher, Syracuse, a sister Edith Croft, Hartwick, NY, a special niece Lorraine LoCaccio, Whitesboro, 14 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren and many other nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two daughters Cathy Lints, Linda Thomas, two sons Joseph Zyla, Alan Zyla, several brothers and sisters.

     In keeping with Frances’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.  A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

     Arrangements have been entrusted to Heintz Funeral Services, Inc., 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY., 13502.
