Obituary of Eric J. Price

      Mr. Eric J. Price, 54, of Deerfield, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at his home with his loving family by his side.

     Eric was born in Ilion, NY, on April 8, 1968, the son of George and Marjorie (Doremus) Price.  Eric was a graduate of Mount Markham High School in West Winfield, NY.  He attended Potsdam College, Radio School in Albany and the School of Cosmetology in Utica.  On June 6, 1996, Eric was united in marriage with Deborah Sweet at Sesame Place in Longhorn, PA.  Eric was a born entertainer and held many jobs, including: a “pot scrubber” at the Stone House Restaurant in Cedarville, NY, McDonald’s in Clinton, NY, a DJ with Rock 107 as Eric J. Price, the screaming DJ, Disney World in Florida, Mister E. the clown, and a clown and ring master with Franzen Brothers Circus.  He also worked at Ground Round, as Bingo the clown in Rochester, a manager with Discovery Zone, a wrestling ring announcer with NYCW, a certified hypnotist, a Master of Meta Physics, a sports Yoga Instructor, and a marketing manager and balloon vending specialist with Kids Night that was held on Tuesdays.  He expanded his Mister E. personality with the Kids Stuff Company, traveled with the Super Silly Circus and Priceteeni Performing Flea Circus and The Strange Things Exhibit.  He was also honored to have been an Adjunct Professor at Mohawk Valley Community College and Herkimer County Community College.  Eric was very proud of his accomplishments, but nothing meant more to him than being a Father and PopPop to his cherished children and grandchildren.

     Eric is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah; his mother, Marjorie Creaser of Cedarville, NY; loving children, Marylynn Price Brink and her husband, Timothy Brink of Munnsville, NY; Zachary MaiPrice and his wife, Anh of Syracuse, Noah Price of Deerfield and Elijah Price of Deerfield; cherished grandchildren, Parker Brink and Sawyer Brink; sister, Georgia Hecker and her husband, Mark of West Winfield; brother, Steven Price and his husband, Norman Geil of Rochester; mother-in-law, Shirley Graziano of Utica, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his special canine friend, Mochi.  He was predeceased by his father, George and brother, Donald.

     Eric’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., for your patience, loving care and support you provided to Eric and the entire family.

     In keeping with Eric’s wishes, there is no visitation of Services.
