Obituary of James R. McGuire

James R. McGuire, 50, passed away on November 16, 2022, from complications of a 30-year traumatic brain injury, but will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

     Jimmy was born in New Hartford on January 21, 1972, was a graduate of Clinton High School, and went on to become a welder in Oneida, NY, until his accident.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman in his younger years and enjoyed nature and a good game of pool.

     James is survived by his mother, Gail Hill; father and stepmother, Jim and Deb McGuire; sister, Kelly McGuire; stepsiblings, Colleen Provost, Mark Hill and Randall Hill; uncle, David Timian; uncle and aunt, Bill and Pat McGuire and aunt, Claire McGuire, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, David and Ethel Timian; paternal grandparents, Louis and Helen McGuire; stepfather, Robert Hill and uncle, Daniel McGuire.

     Jimmy’s family extend a special thankyou to his many friends at Utica Rehabilitation Center.

     There are no calling hours or public services.
