Obituary of Tirus N. Freeman, Jr.

Mr. Tirus N. Freeman, Jr. 20, of Utica passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2022, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Utica.

     Tirus was born in New Hartford, NY, on August 31, 2002, the son of Tirus N. Freeman, Sr. and Carrie Muckey.  He was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Thomas R. Proctor High School, Utica.  Tirus will be remembered as a man that loved his family and his friends.  He enjoyed all sports especially football, basketball, playing video games and listening to his music.

     Tirus is survived by his father Tirus Freeman, Sr., mother Carrie, step mother Michelle Freeman, siblings Kayla, Tmya, Tyann, Nika, Jyanna, JoNique, Danelle, Fallon, Brittney, Carionna, Isabella, Antoine, Matt, Devin, Carson, Jermoe, Kayshawn, Jaquzne, Jerome, Curtis, Paul, Kaden, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, special friends Hansley, Nate, Rah, K.K, Jah, Pop, Devin, Jr., a very close friend Kadari and his loving canine companion LoLa.

     Visitation for family and friends will held Friday, December 23, 2022, from 11AM-1PM at the Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY, followed by a service at 1PM at the conclusion of visitation.  Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family
