Obituary of Patricia M. Mundschenk

     Mrs. Patricia M. Mundschenk, 86, of Whitesboro, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023.

     Patricia was born in Utica, on February 29, 1936, the daughter of Mary Gol.  She was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy.  On October 10, 1959, Patricia was united in marriage with Glenn Robert Mundschenk at Sacred Heart Church in Utica, a devoted union of 61 years, until Glenn’s death in 2021.  Patricia was a devout parishioner of the Church of The Sacred Heart and St. Mary, Our Lady of Czestochowa in NY Mills, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She also enjoyed reading and was a dedicated volunteer with the Hope House in Utica.

     Mrs. Mundschenk is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Joseph and Marie Mundschenk of Utica; her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Randy Spicer of McDonough, GA and four cherished grandchildren, Thomas Joseph Mundschenk, II of Utica, Jacob Mundschenk of Utica, Kelly Spicer of Brooklyn, NY and Mark Spicer of Atlanta, GA. 

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Patricia’s funeral Mass of Christian burial on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of The Sacred Heart and St. Mary, Our Lady of Czestochowa, 201 Main St., NY Mills.  She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Yorkville.  Those wishing to make a donation in Patricia’s memory, please consider the Church of The Sacred Heart and St. Mary, Our Lady of Czestochowa.  Envelopes will be available at the church.

     Mrs. Mundschenk’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Patricia’s wonderful neighbors and dear friends for the care and help you provided to her over the past several years.
