Marjorie T. Kervin, 88, a life long resident of Clinton passed away at the Harding Nursing Home, Waterville, NY on March 17, 2016. Marge was born in Clinton, April 7, 1927, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Flynn) O'Brien. She was raised and educated in Clinton and graduated in the class of 1945. On August 22, 1953 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton, Marge was married to Francis (Gus) Kervin. Gus passed away on May 21, 2015. For a number of years, until her retirement in 1987, Marge was employed as a legal secretary, at the Law office of John Cosgrove. She had prior, been employed at Burdick Memorials, Clinton. Marge was a member of St. Mary's Church, Clinton. She was actively involved in the Warm up America Program, and helped service the Syracuse VA, crocheting afghans for the Disabled Veterans Organization. Marjorie is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Joan and Sam Markowski of Clinton, and Ann and James Congden of Waterville; a sister , Dorothy Burrows of Harrisville, NY; and two sisters in law, Betty O'Brien of Clinton and Carolyn O'Brien of California, and also several nieces, nephews , cousins and a special family friend Jacqueline Fox. Besides her husband, Gus, Marge was predeceased by her brothers, Jack and Francis B. O'Brien and her brother in law, Keith Burrows. Mrs. Kervin's funeral will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Her Rite of Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton. In honor of Marjorie's request, there are no calling hours. The family would like to make a sincere thank you to the Harding Nursing Home and their staff for all the care shown Marge and her family during her stay. Those that wish may make donation in Marge's memory, to the Rescue Mission of Utica.
