Obituary of Pilar G. Ayuso, Jr.

     Pilar G. Ayuso, Jr., 61, of Utica, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at his home.

     Pilar was born in Puerto Rico, on April 25, 1961, the son of Pilar Geigel and Lydia Ayuso.  He came to the United Sates as a young boy and received his education in Utica schools, graduating from Utica Free Academy.  For several years, Pilar was employed with Bonide Products in Oriskany.  He enjoyed fishing with a cold beer and loved his dog and pet snake.  Pilar was of the Catholic faith.

     Mr. Ayuso is survived by his loving companion, Gail Baker; daughter, Jennifer Ayuso; brothers and sisters, John (Eva) Geigel, Carmen Ayuso, Edwin (Tina) Ayuso, Santita Ayuso, Juan Ayuso and Israel (Maria) Rosado; an aunt, Ernesta Ayuso, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his parents, Pilar and Lydia and brothers and sisters, Aurea Geigel, Angel Geigel, Bienvenido Ayuso and Reinaldo Ayuso.

     A private family service will be held at a later date.
