Mrs. Barry was a force! Always smiling and always inviting. Her family will miss her for sure, but she surely will not be forgotten nor will she forget her special care during her illness. All our love to the entire Barry family.

Barbara & I were friends over 30+ years. Our friendship began when we both ran for political office. Then we both started working for the City of Utica. We both lived on the same street so I would pick her up on the way to work every morning, We always had very lively discussions. She gave me two stuffed poodle toy animals which I can't bear to part with. Every time I look at them, I think of her. I am truly saddened by her passing. I've been worried about her and now know she is in God's hands. She will be in my prayers. We both had a love for animals - dogs & cats. Feeding the stray cats. The cats will miss her and I will, too. I'll be making a donation to our Humane Society in her memory. God Bless, Camille Pryputniewicz

I met Barbara in the late 2019’s, playing pinochle one afternoon a week until the COVID restrictions kept us at home. We resumed playing in 2021. Barbara was so welcoming to a new player. Always a smile, always highlighting the humorous. When a topic arose that she had experienced, she shared memories of a life she treasured. Roller skating, meeting Marty, dancing with Marty, enjoying weekends at the lake with Marty and friends playing cards. I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to make her acquaintance. I hope that her pinochle friends learn about her memorial service at St. Agnes cemetery. Gina Sokal

Barb volunteered many years at the Stanley Theater. She was always friendly and liked by all . The past few years she shared her concerns with the welfare of the neighborhood ferals with me knowing my involvement with the cat rescue. She treated them with the respect they deserve. She was a wonderful lady .
