I played Baseball with Tommy our first year with the Twins in Tennessee. Two kids from upstate NY in East Tennessee, we really grew close over the summer of 82 and helped each other with homesickness, I will Never forget the time we spent together and that Laugh only Tommy had. God Bless Tommy RIP

I send my heartfelt condolences to the Cichon family. So many years have passed since we played kick the can until the streetlights came on in our cuspy North Utica/Deerfield neighborhoods. May Tommy travel well, and his family find many blessings as they share sweet memories of this wild and untamable soul.

I'm so sorry to hear of Tommy's passing. Lots of great memories growing up together, playing basketball together in your driveway, running around the neighborhood. He came by to see me when my Dad passed five years ago, picked me up and gave me a big hug. Our thoughts are with you today.

Although a couple years younger, I had the fortune to cross paths with Tommy on the squared diamonds of the North Utica baseball fields and through our high school years. After HS, while doing construction for Economy Garage Builders, had several occasions to work with the “Digger” in a professional capacity. Tommy’s, ball busting joking, infectious laugh and positive outlook were his most memorable traits, always bringing a chuckle and smile to my face as we crossed paths later in life. Digger is a North Utica legend and will be missed by all. Rest in peace my friend.

My sincere sympathy to the Cichon family for their loss. As his teacher many years ago. I knew Tom was special - he was a gifted athlete, a good friend, a kind soul. I remember his first time skiing. He got off the bus in Killington, Vermont, rented his skiis, and took off down the slopes traversing the hill like a pro! He was amazing. Tom was always smiling, always helping. I will never forget him or his lovely family. (Crissy & I ran the Utica streets together many mornings.) My love to you all. Lorraine Maneen

I wish to express my deepest sympathy to the entire Cichon family.
Tommy was the most gifted natural athlete I ever coached. He played so effortlessly that sometimes you forgot how good he was. He had a great disposition and never seemed to get down. Being his coach in baseball and basketball was a special experience. Whenever I ran into him, I always enjoyed seeing him and talking to him.
I picture him with that easy, powerful swing, and that big smile. I hope that all of the memories that you shared will help in the coming years.
