Obituary of Scott William Stockton

     Mr. Scott William Stockton, 59, of Utica, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford.

     Scott was born in Utica, on January 27, 1964, the son of Kenneth and Helen (Olmstead) Stockton and received his education in Utica schools.  At one time, Scott was a self-employed painter and carpet installer. He was a gifted guitarist, enjoyed listening to 80’s rock, as well as riding his bike and camping.  Scott was quick with a joke and always enjoyed a good party.  He will be remembered as a caring man who was the first to help anyone in need.

   Mr. Stockton is survived by his beloved companion, Suzanne Mannella; three sons, Alex (Rebecca) Lins, Brittin Caffrey and Jason (Charisma) Caffrey; two step-sons, Vincent Rizzo and Mario Mannella; two step-daughters, Vannessa Mannella and Mellissa Mannella; six cherished grandchildren, Vivienne, Maddox, Dale, Abigail, Athena and Kai, and was anxiously awaiting the birth of his seventh grandchild; four sisters, Penny Dement, Cynthia Stockton, Kathy Jodlowski and Lori Bolinski; three brothers, Kenneth (Karen) Stockton, Jr., David (Margaret) Stockton and James Stockton, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by three sisters, Karen Stockton, Lana Newman and June Chevrette.

     Visitation for family and friends is Monday, March 20, 2023 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, followed by a prayer at the conclusion of visitation.  He will be laid to rest with his parents in Glenside Cemetery in New York Mills at the convenience of the family.
