Obituary of Justin G. Walker

      Justin G. Walker, 41, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday March 16, 2023.

     Justin was born in Carmichael, CA on April 15, 1981, the son of Wendy Geary and Michael Harris.  He was raised in Utica and attended Utica schools. Justin was an avid sports enthusiast, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Notre Dame University.  He was very proud of his Irish heritage and often cooked Irish dishes that he loved to share with his family.  Justin was of the Catholic faith.

     Justin is survived by his parents, Wendy and Michael of Utica; his sister, Lindsay Nemcek of Utica; grandmother, Joan Harris of CA; three cherished nieces, Julie Clintsman, Lily Clintsman and Zoey Nemcek; his good friend, Nick as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

     Visitation for family and friends is Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. 

     Justin’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Justin’s case worker, Mike Sacco as well as the staff at Catholic Charities for the support, understanding and guidance you provided.  Also, a very special thank you to Lynne and Steve Flory for your love and support during this most difficult time. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
