Sleiman K. Abouied, Sr., 63, of Utica passed away unexpectedly on Monday March, 27, 2023 at MVHS St. Luke’s Campus with his family by his side.

     He was born April 1, 1959 in Lebanon where he was raised for a short time before coming to the United States.  Sleiman was employed by the City of Utica in the Department of Public Works.  He was a faithfully employee for 28 years.  In his spare time he enjoyed going to the OTB and gambling.

     He is survived by his daughter Jessica Case and her companion John Wishart of Utica, son Sleiman K. Abouied, Jr. and his wife Lexi of Utica; daughter, Nikki Abouied and several grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a daughter Desiree Case.

     Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 3PM to 5PM at Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY., 13502.  A burial will take place privately and at the convenience of the family at Forest Hill Cemetery, Oneida Street, Utica, NY.
