Obituary of Larry W. Baker

Mr. Larry W. Baker, 77, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2023, at his residence. 

 

Larry was born in Norwich, NY, on January 7, 1946, the son of the late Leonard W. and Frances E. (Tefft) Baker. He was raised and educated in Cortland, and a graduate of Homer High School, Class of 1965.

Larry was a Vietnam Vet. He served in the United States Air Force, from 1965 until honorably discharged in 1969.

 

Larry was a self-employed electrician. He also worked at MVCC.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on his vehicles. 

 

Larry was a Christian and was a member of the Baptist Church for many years.

Larry loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Maggio Baker, two daughters, Anna Baker and Staci Baker, four sons, Andrew Baker, Simeon Baker, Loren Baker and Curtis Baker...all of CNY.

Also, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. 

A sister, Linda Maynard and her husband John, Amsterdam, NY. And several nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his sister Judy R. Reichard, and a brother James D. Baker, 

 

At this time, services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. 

He will be laid to rest in Cortland Rural Cemetery, on the Baker family plot.
