Obituary of Catherine Testa

Catherine Testa, of Utica, NY., passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica, with her loving family by her side.

     Catherine was born in Utica, on May 25, 1954, the daughter of the late Loretta Talarczyk. She was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. In 1972 she was united in marriage with Robert Testa, a blessed union of 47 years. They could never imagine a day without each other. Robert predeceased her on February 6, 2019. 

     Catherine was self-employed for over 25 years. She had enjoyed camping, going to the casino, boat rides at Sylvan Beach and most of all spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife and mother, but her grandchildren were her true enjoyment in life. Catherine loved her family, and is survived by her three sons, Robert David Testa Sr. and Alba Diaz, Christopher Testa Sr. and his wife Doris, Anthony J. Testa, Sr., and Lee Scott. Also, her cherished grandchildren, Austin Lucenti, Robert Testa, Jr., Catherine Testa, Gloria Testa, Christianna Testa, Christopher Testa, Jr., Audrianna Testa, Anthony Testa, Jr., Vincent Testa, Alexander Testa, Tre Sheppard, Jovene' Testa, Mikya Testa, three sisters Deborah, and Rod Moerler, Sandra Christopher Steffen, Tammy and Michael Krecidlo. As well as many nieces and nephews. Her family was everything to her. 

     Funeral service and visitation for Catherine's family will be held privately and at their convenience. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband Robert in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Woods Road, Whitesboro, NY.
