Obituary of Bonnie M. Ferrone

     Mrs. Bonnie M. Ferrone, 51, of Deerfield, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at her home with her loving family by her side.

     Bonnie was born in Utica, on January 30, 1972, the daughter of Robert and Beverly Lane.  She was raised and educated in Whitesboro, was a graduate of Whitesboro High School and earned her LPN license from St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing.  On June 29, 1992, Bonnie was united in marriage with Stephen Ferrone at St. Peter’s Church in N. Utica. Bonnie dedicated her life caring for others, first as an LPN at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, later with ARC Oneida-Lewis and for many years, as a devoted LPN in the Home Health Care field.  Bonnie enjoyed tending to her beautiful flower garden, listening to music and a good martini.  She also enjoyed cruises, trips to Atlantic City and traveling with her beloved family and friends.  Bonnie loved bingo, especially her Thursday morning bingo games and she looked forward to her Friday date night with her adored husband Stephen at Pino Bianco restaurant at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino.  Caring for others came very natural for Bonnie, and she even took an extended leave from work to care for her ill mother. She will be remembered most as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, whose family was the light of her life.

     Bonnie is survived by her beloved husband, Stephen; two adored sons, Stephen Ferrone and Regina Markason of Utica and Nicholas Ferrone of Deerfield; her cherished grandson, Lorenzo Ferrone; brothers and sisters, David and Linda Lane of Marcy, Robert and Terri Lane of Cedar Lake, Tammy and Terry Kehrli of Utica, Lori Lane of Utica and Mark and Lorraine Lane of Utica; dear childhood friend, Michelle DiBrango “Fish” and dear lifelong friend, Joanne, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and her many bingo friends she met later in life.  She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Beverly.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Bonnie’s Funeral Mass of Christian burial on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish, Our Lady of Lourdes Campus, 2222 Genesee St., Utica.  She will be laid to rest in St. Peter’s Cemetery in N. Utica.  Visitation for family and friends is Wednesday, June 7^th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N.
