Jason Gregory Waterman, 23, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 26, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Jason was born in Utica on January 17, 1993 the son of Michelle M. Zielinski and the late Gregory P. Waterman. He was raised in Utica and attended Thomas R. Proctor High School. At one time, Jason was employed with O'Baby's Pizzeria, Napoli's Bakery and was currently employed with Slice Pizzeria in Utica. Jason was an avid skateboarder and loved his dog and best friend Buddy. He was of the Catholic Faith. Jason is survived by his mother, Michele Zielinski and Scott Fyfe of Utica; three sisters, Samantha Bowman of Utica, Amanda and Chris Burkhart of Schuyler and Alexandria Almas of Utica; one brother, Joshua Waterman of Utica; His grandparents, JoAnn DelMonico of Utica and Beverly and Gene Redding of Kansas, three nieces, Olivia, Nevaeh and Ava; one nephew, Nathan; aunts and uncles, Nadine and Ron Barroncini, Todd and Michelle Zielinski, Nicole DelMonico and Gary Zayas and Tammy and Mark Waterman; dear friends, Rocco Spataro, Shannon Sardone and Rob Best as well as numerous additional friends at the Auburn and skate park who he loved. He was predeceased by his father, Gregory, and grandfathers, Ralph DelMonico and Thomas Waterman. Jason's funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. His interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Utica.
