Obituary of Sandy Agosto

      Mr. Sandy Agosto, 65, of Whitesboro, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 26, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica.

     Sandy was born in New York City, on March 2, 1958, the son of Martin, Sr. and Felicita (Febo) Agosto and received his education in New York City. He later attended trade school where he learned valuable skills that he used throughout his career.  For many years until his retirement, Sandy was employed with Utica Psychiatric Center. He enjoyed working on cars, riding motorcycles, camping, boating, playing darts and playing Quick Draw. Sandy had a magical connection of hand and mind. No task was too big, whether it be with mechanics, plumbing, carpentry or electrical, where he achieved the level of Journeyman Electrician. Sandy was loved by the community as he had a great sense of humor that no one could forget. Never a moment he wasn’t making jokes to lighten the mood. He was always open to assisting people with any task that they needed. He loved sharing his knowledge with his kids and brothers with the hope it would help them succeed in life.

     Sandy is survived by four sons, Justin Agosto of Whitesboro, Nicholas Agosto of Whitesboro, Adam Agosto of Whitesboro and Eric Agosto of VA; one daughter, Krissy Agosto of VA; one grandson, Devon Dodd; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Martin, Jr. and Janet Agosto of Kissimmee, FL, Elbin and Laura Agosto of Taylor, SC, Geordie and Sandra Agosto of Deltona, Fl and Norman and Jennifer Agosto of Kissimmee, Fl; one sister and brother-in-law, Noreen and Andrew Cacciatore of DE, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother Audi Agosto.

     Visitation for family and friends is Sunday, July 2, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, followed by a service at 4:00 at the conclusion of visitation.
