Obituary of Jason J Wheeler

Mr. Jason J. Wheeler, 45, of Utica passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at the time of his passing his loving family was at his side.

     Jason was born in New Hartford, NY, on July 14, 1978, the son of Wiliam L. Wheeler and Cynthia MacLauglin.  He was a graduate of Whitesboro High School Class of 1996.  Jason owned and operated CJ Motors in West Utica where he sold and repaired automobiles.  Jason was the biggest Buffalo Bills fan and was a true outdoorsman where he enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, jet skiing, four-wheeling, anything where he could be active.  Most of all he loved sitting next to the fire with his family and friends.  Jason was a true comedian he could make anyone laugh and his absence from everyone that knows him will be missed.

     He is survived by his beloved mother Cynthia MacLauglin and her husband Jim, cherished sisters Andrea Wheeler and her fiancé Wayne, Heather Wheeler, brother Bill Wheeler and his wife Domanique, nieces Alexis, Ella, Alessia Wheeler, nephews Micheal, Tommy, Alex, Brett, Ryan Wheeler, Ashton Grower and several cousins.  He was predeceased by his father William L. Wheeler.

   Visitation for family and friends is Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 6PM-8PM from the Heintz Funeral Home, Inc., 408 Herkimer Road, Utica, NY. 13502.  Jason’s funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023, 10:30AM from the funeral home.  He will be laid to rest in a family plot in Fairview Cemetery, Hurricane Road, town of Norway.  The family would like to make special thank you to Heidi Kogut and Duane Smith for their help with their nursing skills and special friends Steve Hartz and Christian Kelly for their care and compassion.
