How lucky we have been to meet Pat and Bob!
We first met this wonderful couple back in 2010 at the wedding of our dearest friends, Lejla and Steve.
In 2018, we had the opportunity to spend more time with them and the broader Brych family during our visit in Stittville. Unforgettable memories!
We will never forget the warmth and generousity of Pat and Bob. We came as strangers and felt like part of the family when we left. Pat and Bob will always be in the hearts of many - including ours - and will never be forgotten.
Our heartfelt condolences.
All the best,
Emma, Martin & Michi from Germany

It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to Bob and Pat. As parents, in-laws and grandparents of our dearest friends, we will deeply miss them and their selfless ways, but will always remember them.
We never forget their kindness and generosity towards us while staying at their home. They always made sure to feel at home.

Pat and Bob welcomed me into their family when Steve and I started dating back in 2005. From the day we met, they were like my second set of parents. Kind, loving, generous and devoted to their kids and grandkids. Even though we live in California they made every effort to come for all of the important dates in our lives; our wedding, birth of our kids, their first birthdays and 1st day of school.
I will never forget all the care packages they would send for every holiday in a year. There was always a loaf of good rye bread for Steve, nuts and plenty of homemade cookies (once kids arrived, the parcels were filled with lots of toys and other goodies for the littles).
When we would go to visit them in Upstate NY there would always be a freshly baked apple pie (my favorite!) waiting for me along with a 10 lbs lasagna, a sausage roll and pasta with meatballs the size of my fist. Mimi made sure there was always plenty of food, and everyone's favorite dishes were on the table.
First time we visited them with Liam in spring of 2012 (Liam was just over a year old) they brought out a snowball they kept in the freezer for him so their CA grandson can feel snow for the first time.
They both loved and enjoyed seeing their grandkids and spending time with them, playing dolls with Finley or UNO with Liam, taking them to the park, making them laugh, giving them baths, reading bedtime stories together and spoiling them with love and attention. Our late dog Carly got plenty of playtime and treats from Mimi and Papa too. To this day kids still talk about chasing fireflies with Mimi and Papa one summer eve in NY.
Without hesitation they opened their lovely home to our German friends when we would go on joint trips in the area with them. Always thoughtful, compassionate, warm and loving. That is how Pat and Bob will be remembered by all of us. We miss them dearly!

Dear Mimi and Papa,
I wish you were still with us to this day. Here are a few amazing memories of our time together. I still remember Mimi pushing us on swings at the playground when we were little. I also remember Papa, Mimi, Liam and I playing "Ring around the Rosie" over and over again when I was a little girl.
Last summer we came to visit you, I remember us all catching fireflies one evening. We caught a lot of them in a jar and we could see them glow when we turned the lights off in the room.
I loved all the cookies Mimi would make for us.
I miss you both very much!

Dear Mimi and Papa,
I wish you were still here with us so that we could spend more time together.
Papa, I loved seeing you in Myrtle Beach and going to Top Golf with you and the rest of my NY family. I also remember going to see my 1st Yankees game at the Yankees Stadium with you and dad.
Mimi, I loved seeing a pile of presents laying on the bed in the room we were going to sleep in every time we came to visit you. There would always be a delicious pie and chocolate chip cookies waiting for us to be eaten. You always cared for us and knew how to show it. I also remember when we lit sparklers and fireworks for the 4th of July last time I saw you.
Mimi and Papa you will always have a special place in my heart. My memories of you will never be lost. You were truly the best Mimi and Papa.

I was so sad to see this but it is appropriate that you memorialize them together. My deepest sympathies. Bob was a friend of my Dad’s, and I got to know them both much better, when I sold the house in Marcy. Wonderful people and both always great to me. May their memory be eternal.

Bob was our next door neighbor for about a year. A quiet man who sure did enjoy a handful of cookies or a good piece of apple pie being dropped off ! His daughters were truly wonderful gems! They would each come by, sometimes taking him out to eat or frequently bringing him some good dinners! He was well loved and cared for and a pleasure to know.
