Obituary of Lori A David

Mrs. Lori A. David, 63, of Whitesboro passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at MVHS-St. Luke’s campus after a lengthy illness.

     Lori was born August 8, 1960, in Utica the daughter of the late George and Barbara (Lamont) David.  She graduated from Whitesboro High School class of 1978.  She then attended Utica School of Commerce here she graduated with high honors.  After her schooling she was employed by Dewer Royal Crown for several years.  She then worked for Turning Stone Casino as a multigame supervisor for 10 years until leaving for medical reasons. 

     On July 4, 1993, she was united in marriage to Thomas Williams and even though they were no longer together they remain close friends.  Tom took over the father role to Lori’s two children and helped raise them and is still considered “Dad” to them both.  Lori was a devoted mother and sister.  She was a loving and caring woman who would do anything to help anyone.  She was always doing silly things to make people laugh.  Growing up she loved doing gymnastics and always loved showing off her skills to everyone, as well as helping teach the younger children how to perform some tricks.  She also enjoyed bowling, jarts, softball, riding motorcycles, swimming, diving and volleyball.

     Lori is survived by her daughter and son in law Heather (Czajkowski) and Martin Simyan, son and his partner Richard Czajkowski and Jamila Jones, her grandchildren who called her Nana Brandon, Devin, Samantha Hailey, Jayla and Ryland, sisters Cynthia Decker, Patricia Kantor, brothers George David and his wife Cheryl, Gary David, Tim David and his wife Kit, her best friend Mare, feline companion Princess, numerous nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her parents George and Barbara, brother Thomas David and his wife Diane, brother in law Ed Decker, sister in law Tammy David, nephew Greg David, her mother in law Frances Czajkowski.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 5-7PM from Heintz Funeral Service, Inc. 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY.  Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.

     The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dave and Nancy Clark, her BFF Mare for their help throughout the years.  They also like to thank MVHS-St Luke’s campus and Hospice and Palliative Care for their care and compassion.

     In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Loris’ name to American Lung Association, Hospice and Palliative Care or the National Fibromyalgia Association.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
