Obituary of Thomas Patrick Dineen

    Mr. Thomas Patrick Dineen, 83, of Schuyler, NY, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023, at The Pines at Utica Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.

     Thomas was born in Queens Village, NY, on August 3, 1940, the son of William and Edna (Dingivan) Dineen. He was raised and educated in Tupper Lake, NY and was a graduate of Tupper Lake High School. Following high school, Thomas enlisted in the US Marine Corps, proudly serving from 1957 until his honorable discharge in 1963. For many years, he was employed as a welder with Pettibone in Rome, NY. On September 13, 2009, Thomas was united in marriage with Victoria Biamonte Griffin, a loving and devoted union of 12 years, until Victoria’s death in 2022. Thomas enjoyed fishing, golf and especially dancing and attending Irish festivals with his beloved Victoria. He was a parishioner of Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish, Our Lady of Lourdes Campus in Utica.

     Mr. Dineen is survived by his beloved grandchildren, Liana and Colin Dineen of Rotterdam, NY, as well as several adored nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Victoria, Thomas was predeceased by his son, Thomas Dineen and his siblings, William Dineen, Mary Mase, Margaret Haile, Lillian Baker, Alice Dechane, Eleanor Baker, Frank Dineen and Marion McKenna.
