Mr. Douglas Jesse Sutton, 63, of Utica, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica.

   Douglas was born in Utica, on January 8, 1960, the son of Jesse William Sutton and Ruby Edith (Hennes) Massucci. He was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. For many years, Douglas was employed in the Janitorial Industry. He enjoyed reading, cooking and loved traveling.  Douglas’ greatest joy was spending time with his beloved niece, LeeAnn Sook and adored great nephew, Raheeb Alfahdd. He was a member of Historic Old St. John’s Church in Utica.

     Mr. Sutton is survived by three sisters, Bonnie Sook, Bobbi Jo Hall and Donna Marie Massucci; two brothers, Gary Sutton and Ricky Massucci; his beloved niece, LeeAnn Sook and adored nephew, Raheeb Alfahdd, as well as numerous additional nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Jesse and Ruby and his siblings, Toni Rios, Donald Sutton, Michael Sutton, Judith Massucci, Reid Massucci and Jackie Sutton.

     In keeping with Douglas’ wishes there are no calling hours. A celebration of life, to honor Douglas will be held at a later date.
