Obituary of Thomas G. Williams, Sr.

     Mr. Thomas G. Williams, Sr., 83, of Whitesboro, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at MVHS Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New Hartford.

     Thomas was born in Utica, on March 16, 1940, the son of Thomas J. and Marion Elizabeth (Greenfield) Williams. He received his education in Clinton schools. Thomas was employed with UNIVAC Corporation from 1958 to 1977, and at Kraft Foods in South Edmeston NY, from 1977 until his retirement in 2002. Thomas enjoyed fishing, playing shuffleboard at The Utica Maennerchor and horse racing.

     Mr. Williams is survived by his three children, Thomas G. Williams, Jr. of Whitesboro, NY. Suzanne Martin of Constableville, NY. and Ronda Williams and her partner, Krys Davis of Whitesboro; eight grandchildren, Heather, Rich, John David, Katrina, David, Kelly, John and Lucy. As well as several great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and close friends, Steve Sebergandio, whom he spent many nights fishing with, and Donna Hinman who was also his shuffleboard partner. He was predeceased by his son, Wayne Williams in 1974; a daughter, Cynthia Williams in 1978; two sisters, Esther “Red” Abraham and Shirley Blanchard and one brother James Harold Williams.

     In keeping with Thomas’ wishes, there are no calling hours. A celebration of Thomas’ life will be held at the convenience of the family.
