Mr. LeRoy A. Haman, 84, of Schuyler, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the Masonic Care Community in Utica.

     LeRoy was born in Schuyler, on November 12, 1939, the son of Ford and Eleanor (Williams) Haman. He was raised and educated in Schuyler and was a graduate of Whitesboro High School. LeRoy proudly served in the US Army Reserves. On July 29, 1961, LeRoy was united in marriage with the love of his life, Carol Ann Seavy at St. Peter’s Church in N. Utica. For many years until his retirement, LeRoy was employed with General Electric Company in Utica. LeRoy was an avid outdoor enthusiast who especially loved hunting.  He was actively involved in the daily activities at the Masonic Care Community where he enjoyed bingo and pitch and had a true love of animals. LeRoy was a gifted master carpenter, and his greatest joy was spending time with his cherished family and especially his grandchildren who were the light of his life.  He was of the Methodist faith.

     Mr. Haman is survived by his beloved wife, Carol; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Todd Haman of N. Utica and Brian and Darlene Haman of Utica; two cherished grandchildren, Amanda Haman of Utica and Matthew Haman of NC; an adored great granddaughter, Brooke; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ford, Jr. and Shirley Haman of Schuyler and Donald and Pauline Haman of Schuyler; as well as several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Victoria Seavy.

     Visitation for family and friends is Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, followed by a prayer service and time to share fond memories and stories of LeRoy at 6:00 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation.
