Obituary of Kenneth G Eddy

 Mr. Kenneth G. Eddy, 86 of Utica New York, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023, at home with his loving wife and family by his side.

     Kenneth was born in Utica on August 14, 1937. The son of the late Lewis and Ruth (Martin) Eddy. Kenny proudly enlisted and served in the US Marine Corps from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1959. On September 10, 1960, he was united in marriage to the former Kathleen a Bryant in Grace Episcopal Church with Reverend Stanley P Gasek. A blessed union of more than 63 years.  Kenny worked at RDR industries, Mohawk, New York until his retirement. He was a member of the VFW post number 7393 New York Mills, and American Legion Post number 1113 Whitesboro New York.  Kenny enjoyed camping with his family and taking many countryside rides, he could fix just about anything and make it work. Kenny and Kathleen enjoyed their yearly trips to Florida with family and friends. Most of all he loved going to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events.

     Kenny is survived by his wife, Kathleen, son K. David Eddy and his wife, Cynthia, daughters, Suzanne Ulrich and her husband, Raymond, Linda Christian and her husband, Chris. six grandchildren, Patrick Eddy, Christina Johnson (Josh), Bryttani Eddy (Jasper), Raymond Ulrich (Valentina), Christopher Christian (Hannah), Kyle Christian (Mackenzie). Ten great grandchildren twins Jase and Kole, Linkin, Kinley, X-avier, Landyn, Masyn, Leah, twins, Raymond and Emma. many nieces, nephews, sister-in-law Joyce Eddy, brothers-in-law Ray LaPorte and William Bryant and Heidi. Ken was predeceased by his siblings Lewis Eddy, Mary Seelman, William Eddy, Helen LaPorte, Irene Rogers (Wayne), sister-in-law Margaret Bryant, brother-in-law Stephen Lassonde andmother-in-law Arvila Howard.

     It is the wish of the family that there will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:45 AM at Heintz Funeral Service, Inc. 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY. Kenny will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Woods Rd., Whitesboro. In lieu of flowers donations in Kenneth’s name can be made to hospice palliative care 4277 Middle Settlement Rd. New Hartford, NY 13413.
