My brothers and I attended grade school with Steve. My brother just informed me of his passing. We both said at the same time”he was a great guy”. He really was! Whenever I bumped into him in public he would always smile and say hello. My heart goes out to all his lived ones.

Steve was one of the best people I ever knew...he was kind, compassionate, loving, always did what he said and said what he meant, and just loved life; I loved him deeply and will never forget the serious and the crazy times we shared. Just a fun early experience...when I was in high school he picked me up and said lets go for a ride...we ended up in Rome driving around and there was a 2 family house with a party going on the upper porch...he said we're here and I was like what? It's a surprise party for you...well we went in, were welcomed...but to this day I'm almost positive he didn't know a single person lolol...but we sure did by the time we left the next day. Knew Steve since we were 15 years old. We would bump into each other at concerts and other events and he would make me laugh my butt off with his sense of humor. I cherish the memories of our teenage years of hanging out and the adult years with us reminiscing about them. I’m so sorry for his family on this tragic loss. I will always remember him. Always!

To the Gotte family and Deana so sorry for your loss, little over a month ago i was having lunch at north end tap and steve was sitting right next to me we chatted for awhile me and steve worked together for a few years at adirondack bank center doing security for the hockey games , i cant believe when i received the news that he had passed away.
